Draftkings is offering a couple awesome tournaments this week, including the $3.5 Fantasy Golf Millionaire, with 1st place taking home a cool million dollars! I have a couple guys who have been on my radar the past few weeks leading up to this weekend.
I am not pretending to be some daily fantasy guru here. Instead of being a sabermetrics guy, I am a big gut guy when it comes to picking my golfers for the week. The formula I use for choosing my DK picks of the week is simple really….
Good Form + Value + Cuts Made + Tour Sauce – Players I can’t root for = $$$$$
Obvious Pick of the Week:
Rickie Fowler ($9,300)
I am a big Rickie guy, just like everyone else. With one win under his belt this year at The Honda Classic and a T-3 at the Shell Houston Open last week Rickie is in great form. I thought Rickie would be closer to $10,000 just below Day so I think you get great value at $9,300. However, expect him to owned by a good chunk of people, as said earlier he is one of the most popular.
Gut Guy of the Week:
Tyrrell Hatton ($7,600)
Hatton is a wild card and I love it. Since turning pro in 2011, we haven’t seen much of Hatton as he plays most of his golf on the European Tour, but boy do I like his fire. The type of intensity that could propel something crazy like his fellow Englishman, 2016 Masters Champion Danny Willet. Not to mention Hatton has made all 5 cuts in PGA Tour events he has played this season.
Value Pick of the Week:
Adam Hadwin ($6,900)
I will gladly take a guy at $6,900 (Nice) who is a perfect 7/7 cuts made, not to mention a winner on tour already this year at the Valspar Championship. A key to making money in fantasy golf is making sure all 6 guys make the cut. If I can pretty much guarantee a cut made, with the ability to compete with the best I will take you all day, unless I hate you.
