“Win or Go Home”

Before a 3 putt on 16 to bring him back to 4-under (where he would finish the day), Jordan Spieth had gone 30 holes without a bogey. After his brilliant third round Jordan looked towards another Masters Sunday in contention and all he is focused on is getting that 2nd green jacket. “I plan to play aggressively because at this point it’s win or go home”, said Spieth, and I couldn’t love that mentality more. With a shot from the pine straws on 13, Spieth alluded to the legend Arnold Palmer, asking his caddie Michael Greller, “what would Arnie do”, before hitting a magnificent shot into the green resulting in birdie. The way Spieth maneuvers his way around Augusta is magical, and I can’t wait to see him compete tomorrow, with none other than his SB2k17 partner, Rickie Fowler. That pairing of Spieth/Rickie has the potential to be legendary and I can’t wait to see these two close friends battle it.

 Sergio Choke?

Sergio in the final pairing of a major; what could possibly go wrong? As much hate as I have spewed about Sergio I really do love seeing him in the final group on Sunday. Either we get to see a clutch side of Sergio that we have never seen before in a major, or we get to see him choke once again. Golf fans come out victorious either way so having Sergio in the mix will make Sunday even more exciting. Will Garcia choke down the stretch like he has the last 73 major championships he has played in without a win, or will Sunday be the first Major Sunday of his career he actually finds his clutch gene?

Coming up Roses

The low round of the day at Augusta today belonged to Justin Rose with a masterful 5-under, 67. With a share of the lead, and a spot in the final pairing Rose has an opportunity to join Ben Hogan as the only golfer to ever win a major at Merion and Augusta (not bad company). The best part about Rose possibly win his first green jacket would be the eventual photo with the green jacket AND an Olympic Gold Medal around his neck.

Don’t Sleep on Scott and Schwartzel

Once a winner at Augusta, always a winner at Augusta. And with charges on Friday and Saturday, past Masters champions and final round playing partners, Adam Scott (3-under) and Charl Schwartzel (2-under) should not be forgotten come tomorrow afternoon. With both performing clutch down the stretch to capture their green jackets, Scott and Schwartzel, unlike Sergio, have proven they have the ability to win on golfs biggest stage. It will be interesting to see if one of these world class golfers can make a run up the leaderboard and put a scare into the powerhouse pairings of Spieth/Rickie and Rose/Sergio.
