2017 Valero Texas Open Champion
Reactions are bigger in Texas. 🏆🏆

From the same spot Hoffman won last year, Kevin Chappell drains his birdie putt on 18 to win the Valero Texas Open in dramatic fashion. Staving off a late Sunday charge by Brooks Koepka after posting a 65 on Sunday, Chappell had this birdie putt to seal the win. Picking up his first victory on tour after 180 starts, becoming the 7th first-time winner this season (2nd week in a row). Hell of a way to finish with a putt on 18 to seal that first victory! I also loved the fist pump and celebration with his caddie. Definitely beats Hoffmans reaction from last year.
Final @ValeroTXOpen scores …
1. Chappell, -12
2. Koepka, -11
T3. Tway, -10
T3. Finau, -10
5. Baddeley, -8

Finishing T-3 this week my pick, Tony Finau, had a great showing, but just couldn’t find enough putts to fall on Sunday to stay with Chappell.Unfortunately, a third place finish doesn’t win you the big bucks, however I do fully expect to see Finau get a win this season.
Fore Right of the Week
— PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) April 22, 2017
Bud Cauley this week gave another valiant effort finishing in the top 10 for the second straight week (T-10). While Cauley wasn’t able to pull off the victory, he was able to pull of a shot you’re more likely to see at a public course than the PGA Tour. The Double-Hit is the WORST when it happens to you, but I always get a chuckle when I see someone else do it. Hopefully Cauley will not become the first Double Winner of the Fore Right of the Week next week when we head to NOLA!
